Millionaires Flapjack

Who doesn't love salted caramel ?! It seems to be a festive flavour this year (its not what I think of when I think festive but hey I'm not complaining) and I was wanting to create a little treat it seemed ideal. There is only 5-7 ingredients depending on what you have in but all can be bought from the supermarket and its pretty simple to make.

However even though it is made with good ingredients don't be fooled in thinking its low calorie because it's not ! But you can treat yourself now and then :)

Makes 10 smaller squares or 5 larger ones

115g Oats ( I just used Aldis own)

70g Beloved Date Nectar (honey would also work)

100g Tahini (can be found in the world foods section)

1 tsp salted caramel essence (Tesco)

70g Meridians Almond Butter

20g Date Nectar

20ml Almond milk

sprinkle pink salt

1/2 bar of Chocologic no added sugar Dark chocolate

*Combine Oats, Nectar, Tahini and essence. You may need to melt the tahini slightly. Place into a lined container and freeze for 1hr to set

* Mix caramel layer and add onto the oat layer and place back in the freezer for 1-2hrs to set

*Melt the chocolate and pour onto the flapjack and place in freezer for 20-30 mins to set

When cutting into pieces heat your knife so it glides through smoothly unlike what I did and then the chocolate cracks everywhere

Sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy
