As the nights get darker and colder alot earlier in the winter months there is nothing more appealing that a warm comfort meal when you get home. This recipe offers that comfort you desire without the excess of calories making the perfect tea time treat :).
Based on a classic it's high in protein, low in fat and packed full of flavour. The use of Sweet Potato is a personal preference and it lowers the carb content however fee free to use white potato if you would like.
Macros 300 cals 27g C 33gP 7gF
500g Sweet Potato chopped (I left the skin on but you can remove)
1 packet Fish Pie Mix (or 400g of fish of your choosing) I got mine from Tesco
120g Fat Free Quark (or soft cheese)
75ml Unsweetened Almond Milk
12g Sukrin Sesame flour
5g coconut oil
Handful of dill, salt and pepper to flavour
Optional 40g grated Musclefood virtually fat free chedder
*Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
*Put the potatoes in a pan, cover with water and bring to the boil. Once boiled alow to simmer and cook until soft
*In a heated saucepan place the quark and almond milk and stir until they mix together
*Add the sesame flour, dill and flavourings to the sauce and stir
*Add in the fish and stir until coated in the sauce for about 2-3 mins
*Pour mixture into your baking dish(s)
*Once the potato is soft add the coconut oil and a little salt and pepper before mashing.
*Spoon the mash onto the fish pie mix and sprinkle with cheese
*Place into the oven for 20 mins to cook throughly
*Serve with salad or veg
