In the spirit of all that has been happening on social media and my life these past few months I thought I would write a little post on being happy in yourself. We all deserve to be happy and we shouldn't let life drag us down.
Here are my top 10 tips on how to be happy :)
1/ Surround yourself with positive people
A stong support network filled with like minded people is a great way to help you stay happy, don't let moody people bring you down
2/ Stay active
Exercise releases endorphins - endorphins make you happy :) exercise also keeps you fit so win win
3/Appreciate the little things
Dont take everything for granted or focus on all the big events. Have a look at all the good things in your life and be grateful for them
4/ Be there for someone else
There is no better feeling than knowing you have helped someone in a positive way whether that is just telling someone they look good or being a shoulder to cry on when your best mate breaks up with her boyfriend
5/ Don't take life too seriously
Live in the moment and love it. Who cares what people think its your life don't let anyone tell you different. I know that many people think I'm odd but hey ho ;)
6/ Write it down
If something made you happy today write it down then at the end of the week look back and see what happened to you in the week
7/ Do something for you
Have some metime to relax and reflect, go out with friends, see family just go off schedule for a bit
Allow yourself that cheeky treat now and again and enjoy it. No matter what it is let your life be just that - a life not a pattern of rules to follow
Laughter truly is the best medicine.
10/ Be you !!
Don't feel pressured to be something your not or ashamed of what you are. Embrace all there is about you and love it all !! Have that confidence to show the world who you are and once you have done that you will be happy because lets face it ... You're awesome :) :)
